When Aliaga tried to flee from the scene, he was forced off the road by a man in a truck who witnessed the whole thing. The truck driver, Mark Brown, was able to keep Aliaga at the scene until cops arrived.

Police at the time said Aliaga was drunk when he struck the two men.
