The family of a man found beaten to death in a Little Havana alleyway is asking for the public's help in finding his killer.
Max Lopez, 55, was found lifeless in the alleyway in the 1500 block of West Flagler Street on Dec. 8, 2012, Miami Police said.
Lopez appeared to have been beaten to death, police said. Detectives have very little information about the incident, though police said they did get one phone call about who killed Lopez.
"The Crime Stopper tip we got puts the person actually there watching this crime unfold. So we do need this caller to phone us again," Miami Police spokeswoman Officer Kenia Reyes said Tuesday afternoon at a press conference where the victim's family, including hiw widow Melina Rodriguez, asked for the public's help.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
