A California man was arrested Saturday night after he stabbed his mother, aunt and uncle at a home in the Florida Keys, authorities said.
Jacob Knapper, 20, is facing three counts of aggravated battery and resisting arrest in the attack that happened around 9:45 p.m. at the home on Galleon Road in Plantation Key, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
According to the MCSO, a deputy responded to the home and found Knapper's mother and aunt with wounds on their arms and his uncle with a wound to his abdomen.

The uncle yelled "he's in there" while pointing to another room, but Knapper's mother was hysterical and refused to comply with the deputy's order to get behind him for safety, the MCSO said. Knapper's mother yelled at the deputy to leave him alone and not hurt him, the sheriff's office said.
As the deputy was dealing with the mother, Knapper suddenly ran out of the other room and straight at the deputy, yelling for the deputy to shooting him. The deputy saw Knapper had no weapon in his hands so he grabbed him and held him until backup deputies arrived, the MCSO said.
Knapper, from Agoura Hills, California, was taken into custody and was booked into jail, where he was being held without bond. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.

His mother said Knapper and his uncle got into an argument after the uncle yelled at his daughter, and said said Knapper grabbed the knife when he felt threatened after he was approached by his aunt and uncle.
