A Lakeland woman was being held without bond Wednesday after a couple found her in their house standing over their baby's crib, authorities said.
According to Polk County Sheriff's detectives, 31-year-old Megan Michelle Jones broke into the home late Friday.
The parents found Jones after they heard voices coming from their baby monitor, deputies said. When they went into the room, they saw her leaning into the baby's crib, authorities said.
When the father, 29-year-old Dennis Meyers, grabbed Jones, she pleaded with him not to throw her out.
"It's not what you think," she said, according to the arrest report. "He's gonna kill me."

Detectives said they believe Jones was talking about a man who was outside the house at the time and possibly helped her break in.
Meyers threw her out of the house, and he saw her run away with the man, but he has not been found or identified, authorities said.
When police arrived, they found a broken window with blood on it. They collected the baby's shirt and diaper as evidence because they had blood on them.
The baby was unharmed.

Police found and arrested Jones on Monday after she was identified at a second burglary nearby. Jones admitted she had been drinking that night, reads the affidavit, and remembers breaking a window in that neighborhood.
Jones has eight prior arrests in the Polk County Jail for charges such as possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and several counts of battery.
