The bridge that connected Interstate 595 and the southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be demolished Saturday to open a work zone in the area, the Florida Department of Transportation said.
595 Express Bus Service Expands
The demolition will cause road closures that will start Saturday at 6 a.m. and last through Sunday at 1 p.m.
The closures include:
- All lanes of the northbound Florida’s Turnpike at the I-595 interchange will be closed from 5 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday.
- Two lanes of the northbound Florida’s Turnpike at the I-595 interchange will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
- Two lanes of the southbound Florida’s Turnpike at the I-595 interchange will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday.
- One lane of the ramp from I-595 to the southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday.

The bridge that will be demolished was replaced on March 22 as part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate weaving movements at the Florida’s Turnpike interchange.
