This weekend's Tortuga Music Festival at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park is expected to bring large crowds and heavy traffic, Fort Lauderdale Police said.
The two-day event, which kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m., is featuring several country and rock acts including headliners Kenny Chesney and Eric Church as well as The Avett Brothers, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Jake Owen and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Daily attendance is expected to top 20,000 for the event, though about six miles of the beach will remain open to the public, police said.
A high volume of traffic and long delays may be expected on all barrier island roadways, especially A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard. Delays may also be expected on the 17th Street Causeway and Las Olas Boulevard.
The only road closure for the event is Southeast 5th Street between the Aquatic Complex and A1A. The road will be closed during both days of the event between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Police officers will be stationed throughout the event site to guide motorists and pedestrians.
Parking on the barrier island will be limited and concert goers are urged to use shuttle buses and water taxis as well as downtown parking venues.
