A man was arrested and faces charges for tossing a pan of boiling water on his son, authorities said.
The arrest report said that Sjone Quincy Moore told his son to take a shower and take out his clothes for the next day. Moore became angry as his son came out of the shower and for unknown reasons threw the hot water on him, authorities said.
Moore was arrested on Wednesday and faces child abuse charges. He remained in jail Friday on $51,000 bond. It wasn't immediately known if he had attorney.
The son sustained second and third degree burns all over his torso and back area, the report said.
And Moore didn't try to give aid to his son by dialing 911.
On Wednesday, the son's aunt went to the home to pick up to go to the water park when she noticed he was saying his chest area hurt, the report said.
Once he took his shirt, she saw that he had sustained serious injuries, the report said.
Later, authorities were called to the home and they transported him to Joe DiMaggio Chldren's Hospital where he was treated and remains in stable condition.
Moore was arrested at the hospital when he came to see his son.
After being read his rights, Moore said his son came out of the showed and approached him when he was holding a pan of hot water, which accidentally spilled on him, the report said.
