The organizers of the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run in Miami have announced that the race will go on as planned, in the aftermath of Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon.
“The Miami Police Department has given TeamFootWorks the green light to hold the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run,” Hans Huseby, president of TeamFootWorks and the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run, said in a statement.
South Floridians Return From Boston After Marathon Bombing
The Mercedes-Benz race will take place April 25 in downtown Miami, expecting 25,002 participants from 844 companies.
“The event will have added security to ensure the safety of the participants,” Huseby said.
