The Lauderdale Air Show will demonstrate its support for victims of the Boston Marathon attack by donating $10 of every ticket sold this week to charity.
"This is our big week for ticket sales leading up to the show and it affords us the opportunity to really help those affected by this horrific event," said Bryan Lilley, President of the Lauderdale Air Show, in a statement. "We felt it was the right thing to do."
Show organizers said they will wait until the show is over to determine which charity will most directly benefit the victims.
The show, which takes place Saturday and Sunday over Fort Lauderdale Beach, will feature an almost all-civilian lineup, with The Black Diamond Jet Demonstration Team and the Spanish Air Force's parachute patrol headlining.
Tickets for premium viewing start at $32, with VIP viewing at $129. To buy tickets, visit www.lauderdaleairshow.com. General viewing from the beach is free.
