Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade said he wasn't aware of the YouTube video in which a South Florida high schooler asked him to go to her senior prom.
“Well, I haven’t even seen it, but I’m flattered, I am," Wade said Monday.
He said that he has been asked to proms many times.
Sporting a No. 3 Wade jersey in the video, Nicole Muxo makes her pitch to the NBA superstar as Kanye West's "The Glory" plays in the background.

"My senior prom is coming up and I have everything set for a perfect night except for one thing: a perfect date," she says.
In the video, which was posted Saturday night and has over 1,000 views, she calls Wade her favorite basketball player and uses signs and "Prom?" written on basketballs to ask Wade to the big event.
Muxo, who attends Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in West Kendall, told NBC 6 she asked out Wade because he's her favorite player and because he's a positive role model for a lot of people.
If he says yes, going to the prom with him would be "the best day of my life," she said.

Muxo said she doesn't know what her backup plan is.
This isn't the first time she's asked him out.
"Back when I met him last year, I asked him to Homecoming, but the season was about to start, and he had practice, so he couldn’t make it, so I thought why not take another shot and ask him to prom,” she said.
Wade may have his own big event to attend, as the Heat are in the thick of the NBA playoffs and a long run to the finals could have D-Wade busy for the next month or so.
