Rolando Aliaga, who pleaded guilty to a deadly 2011 hit-and-run crash surrended to authorities on Monday.
Aliaga, 50, who
drove into a bus stopon Feb. 1, 2011, will serve 15 years in prison, plus five years of probation.
Tyron Richmond and Charles Williams, who were waiting at the north Miami-Dade County bus stop, died after the crash on Northwest 79th Street and 27th Avenue.
When Aliaga tried to flee from the scene, he was forced off the road by a man in a truck who witnessed the whole thing. The truck driver, Mark Brown, was able to keep Aliaga at the scene until police arrived.
Police at the time said Aliaga was drunk when he struck the two men.
