Two brothers ages 5 and 3 were kidnapped by a woman who took them without their mother’s permission, North Miami police said.

Police said they responded to the kidnapping at 13200 Northeast 7th Avenue at about 5 p.m. Monday.

The mother of the two young boys, identified as 5-year-old Daren Bonilla and 3-year-old Rey Bonilla, reported that “Gloria” took her sons, but the reason is unknown at this time, police said in a statement.

The mother was running an errand when Gloria told the babysitter that she had to take the kids somewhere, and before the babysitter knew it the children were in a vehicle with the woman, according to police.
