A burglar struck Miami Heat player Udonis Haslem’s Southwest Ranches home recently, but none of his property was confirmed taken, authorities said.
The 32-year-old basketball player’s house was broken into on Saturday night, April 13, with an alarm going off at 9:47 p.m. and authorities arriving five minutes later, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in an incident report it released Wednesday.
The burglary may have been interrupted by the initial deputy’s response, the report said.
Side table drawers in the master bedroom were pulled out and ransacked, as were drawers and shelves in both walk-in closets in that room. There were pry markets on a safe inside the male closet, but it was not broken into, the report said.

Several purses and shoes were missing from the shelves in the female closet, but all of those items were found inside garbage bags that were alongside the bed in the master bedroom, the report said.
Several alarm boxes were ripped off the walls, according to the report.
Haslem arrived home at about 10:23 p.m. and said that no one was supposed to be inside the house, the report said. Deputies, a K-9 unit and an aviation unit responded to the scene.
Haslem unlocked the front door, finding a suitcase in the entrance that had all its clothes pulled out of it onto the floor. The basketball player said the suitcase was not like that when he left home, the report said.

Authorities discovered that someone had entered the home through the side door of the garage by prying the lock and jamb. The door frame was damaged, and that apparently set off the alarm, the report said.
With the quick arrival of law enforcement, and the fact that the bags, purses and shoes were left behind, authorities said it was possible that a “lookout” alerted the suspect or suspects and that they left through back of the property, using the surrounding hedge for cover.
