A Deland man is being held without bond after several incidents of harassment, which include leaving a dead opossum on his ex-girlfriend's doorstep, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Donald Gustafson, 58, is being charged with aggravated stalking, according to a Volusia County Sheriff's Office report.

The victim said it started in April when she found her front door had been kicked and a firearm was left on her couch, the report said. After that, she found the dead opossum on her doorstep and toothpicks left in the locks of her car and her home in separate incidents, according to the report.

On Monday, the victim told officials she received a phone call from Gustafson. When she hung up, she said Gustafson kept calling her back.

"The Defendant had advised her if he found her 'he would take me and whoever I was with out, even if it was five years down the road,'" the report said.
