A Broward judge ordered a Fort Lauderdale man held on no bond Thursday after he was again arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said.
Fort Lauderdale Police said they found several discs containing over 30 videos and over 100 still images depicting child pornography on the bedroom dresser of Frank Hottenrott, 59, on Wednesday. The videos and images show victims as young as three years old being molested by adults, according to police.
Hottenrott has been charged with 30 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of using a computer to obtain child pornography, Fort Lauderdale Police said in a statement.
Ex-Lifeguard Arrested For Child Porn: Officials
A South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force detective working undercover, Robert Mauro, located an IP address that was sharing child pornography, and the investigation determined that the corresponding physical address was 1007 Citrus Isle, which is Hottenrott’s home, police said.
A preliminary forensic examination found that Internet software used to share child pornography files was recently installed on Hottenrott’s computer, and found “evidence of search queries used to locate files indicative of child pornography,” police said.
Mauro previously arrested Hottenrott on child pornography charges at his home on April 10, 2010, authorities said. That case is still pending, online Broward court records said.

A court order in that case prohibited Hottenrott from using the Internet, Mauro said in a complaint affidavit. After Hottenrott was read his Miranda rights this time, he admitted that he established an Internet connection at his home and used it to download material despite the previous order, the affidavit said.
Judge Joseph Murphy III said he would put a no-bond hold on Hottenrott for the previous case.

Hottenrott's attorney spoke on his behalf in court. His client is being held at the Broward County Main Jail, online Broward Sheriff’s Office records said.
Authorities ask anyone with information on the incident to call Mauro at 954-888-1570 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
