A University of Miami student was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning, according Coral Gables Police.
The crash occurred by the campus on Bird Road at San Amaro Drive, officials said.
The student was identified as Dino Ghilotti, a business major, in a statement from the university.
"The entire university community is heartbroken to hear of the tragic traffic accident which resulted in the death of a UM student who just celebrated his graduation on Friday," said UM president Donna Shalala in a statement.
Ghilotti was going to join his family's construction business, the statement said.
Police did not clarify how many cars were involved, but said that another UM student was driving the car.
Authorities did not give further detail.
A memorial will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church Monday at 5 p.m.
