The mother of a 1-year-old boy who died at Kendall Regional Hospital Thursday has been arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter in his death, Miami-Dade Police said.
Catalina Marista Bruno, 30, was booked into jail just after 3:30 a.m. Friday, jail records showed. She was being held on $10,000 bond and it was unknown whether she has an attorney.
Miami-Dade Police say Bruno had placed the boy, identified as Bryan Miguel Osceola, in a rear car seat and driven to her home at 1071 Southwest 150th Place.

Bruno exited the car, a Chevy Impala, and went inside but forgot the boy in the car, police said.
After an undetermined amount of time, the father of the boy, Amos Osceola, asked about his whereabouts, police said. Bruno remembered leaving the boy in the car seat but by the time they found im, he was unresponsive, police said.
The boy was transferred to Kendall Regional Hospital with a body temperature of 109 degrees and was later pronounced dead, police said.
"At this point, the only thing that we know is that obviously this was a damily tragedy. We're still investigating the facts of the unfortunate death of a minor child," said Frank Gaviria, the mother's attrorney.

Records showed Bruno was arrested in November 2012 on charges of child neglect and DUI after she was found passed out behind the wheel of her car with the infant in the front seat.
A Department of Children and Families spokesperson said they have a history with the family.
"With that underlying case there's a presumption of innocence. She has not been found guilty of that particular case. I don't think there's any allegation that there was any alcohol involved in this particular case. So, I don't think that case bears anything with respect to this case," Gaviria said.
