Authorities are searching for a couple caught on surveillance camera stealing a dog from a Miami animal shelter.
The couple stole 1-year-old Django, an intact Belgian Malinois male, from the Miami-Dade Animal Services Shelter on May 14. On Friday, authorities released images of the coupld stealing the dog.
Surveillance cameras caught them as they left through a restricted access exit.
“The Department is extremely concerned for the welfare of the dog. We are diligently working to ensure his safe recovery,” said Alex Muñoz, the head of the county animal services department.
Anyone with information about the identity of these two people or the location of the dog is asked to Animal Services Investigations Unit at 305-418-7172.
