A suspect captured in Collier County on suspicion he killed his ex-girlfriend in Little Havana last month made his first court appearance in Miami-Dade County this weekend.
Ifrain Quintana, 42, appeared in court Saturday and remains held without bond on a first-degree murder charge, records show.
On Dec. 28, Quintana allegedly confronted his ex-girlfriend, Ariadna Gonzalez Campa, alongside a sidewalk on Southwest Eighth Avenue and shot her multiple times in front of La Milagrosa Pharmacy and Discount, police said.
Quintana disappeared, but authorities followed investigative leads, tracked him down and arrested him in Collier County on Jan. 19. He was held at a Collier facility several days, and then was admitted Friday into a Miami-Dade County jail, records show.
