Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in Dania Beach Wednesday morning.
The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. in the 1200 block of S. Federal Highway, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The BSO identified the victim as 62-year-old Bernard Williams. A passerby found his body lying in the street and called 911. It's unknown what kind of car struck him, the BSO said.

"Apparently he was attempting to cross Federal Highway when he was struck in the southbound lanes," BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said.
BSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were at the scene early Wednesday and authorities are looking for the driver.
Family members said Williams was homeless and often walked the streets near where he was killed.
"Nobody deserves to be left like that," said Bert Gallo, who owns a nearby restaurant. "I mean even if you didn't want to get caught, call 911 or from somebody else's cell phone or pay phone or whatever, get the guy some help and then take off, if you really got scared."
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
