Two motorcycle officers in President Barack Obama's procession sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital after an accident Wednesday, Miami Police said.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m. on southbound Interstate 95 near where it meets State Road 836, police said.
The two sergeants were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One officer had road rash and the other sustained a back injury and minor facial trauma.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash.
President Barack Obama had been in Miami for a Democratic Party fundraiser that impacted transit. He left from Miami International Airport at about 9:20 p.m. on Air Force One.
The private event was being held at the home of a businessman, The Miami Herald reported.
Traffic along I-95 was snarled, but other details of the accident weren't immediately known.
