A suspect Miami Gardens Police identified as Sergio Dorado took officers on a chase Thursday afternoon.
First, the 47-year-old man allegedly hit a car with his truck and fled from Bunche Park Drive and Northwest 22nd Avenue in Opa-locka.
Then an officer got out of her cruiser in an attempt to stop him, and he allegedly hit her vehicle near Northwest 156th Street and Northwest 22nd Ave. After that, police said, he crashed into an unmarked police unit.

Finally, the chase ended with Dorado cornered near Northwest 160th Street and Northwest 18th Court in Miami Gardens.
Dorado hit his head against the windshield in his first crash, police said. After his second accident, he got out of his truck, bloodied, and allegedly bent his license plate on the back of his pickup in an attempt to elude police.

Now, he is at a hospital recovering.
Miami Gardens Police said he will face many charges including aggravated assault against an officer – something he has been found guilty of before.

His last arrest was just last week for battery, according to authorities. It wasn't immediately known whether Dorado has an attorney.
