The sounds of dirt bikes have replaced the sounds of dolphins splashing at Miami Seaquarium, at least for their latest summer show.
Frances Garcia has been performing her entire life.
"We chase each other. We dodge each other. We can get up to 25 mph racing inside there," she said.
It's the Globe of Death. A 14-foot steel cage is the highlight in the new Sky Riders show.
"At one point I stand in the middle and trust my 14-year-old nephew to come within only inches of my body," said Garcia.
Fourteen-year-old Alex Murcia has been riding in the cage for eight years now, from the time he was six years old.
"It was natural," Murcia said. "Just because all my family did it. My cousins did it. My mom did it."
In fact, the Murcia family comes from a long line of circus performers, who travel the world wowing the crowds.
"These boys are 11th-generation circus performers. So it's in the blood. We can't deny it. We've been doing it since we were really little," Garcia said.
The youngest, Tony, is the highlight of the trampoline.
"When Tony is jumping up and down the kids are yelling higher, higher. They are screaming. That gives us a lot of energy to work with," said Murcia.
This jaw-dropping, fast-paced show is a must-see and the latest, greatest show that will only be at Seaquarium for a limited time.
The Sky Riders show runs now through the end of the summer. They have two shows on weekdays and three on the weekends, and it's free with the cost of admission.
