A North Florida man is recovering after being beaten, robbed, forced to strip naked and abandoned during his first date with “Tree,” a woman he had recently met at a convenience store, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Shaun Paul Williams, 34, was found by deputies as he was walking on the side of the roadway nude and disoriented Friday, the sheriff’s report said.
Williams told deputies he had been talking to “Tree” over the phone for the past weeks, and the two had agreed to meet at the same convenience store where they initially met. From there, the two would head out for their first date, he said.
But when the two met, “Tree” was with two other men. She said they were her brother and a friend, the report said.
“Tree” told Williams that she needed to drop off the two men before going out to dinner. While driving, she turned in an unidentified street and was told to stop by one of the men.
According to the report, they backed the car into an "empty cow pasture.”
Williams told deputies he stepped out of the car to urinate, and then was hit in the face twice, with a metal object.
Williams told deputies one of the men said, “give me all your money and all your clothes.”
The man was pointing a semi-automatic pistol at his face, Williams said.
"He then emptied his pockets and took off all of his clothing and handed it to the male,” the report said.
The three fled the scene with $200 in cash, a cell phone, driver’s license, clothes and sneakers, according to authorities.
William suffered various injuries in the right side of his face.
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident in hopes of identifying the three suspects.
