Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a man in Davie late Wednesday night.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. in the area of N. 66th Avenue and Stirling Road.
Witnesses said the man was walking across the street when he was struck by a car that fled the scene.
The victim was identified as 47-year-old David John Perdue.
Police described the car as a 1998-2001 four-door Honda Accord with dark tinted windows and custom rims. The car fled eastbound toward State Road 7.
The car had left front damage from hitting the pedestrian and may have a broken windshield.
