Afternoon scattered showers and thunderstorms will stay in the forecast for three more days before a drier pattern builds in just in time for Independence Day in South Florida.
Monday afternoon is likely to see scattered showers and storms, with locally heavy rains possible. Look for storms to start firing by mid-day and carry into the evening hours. Highs will be around 89 with showers and storms ending Monday night and temperatures staying around 79.
Tuesday will start with early sunshine followed by afternoon thunderstorms and highs around 88.
A pattern of morning sunshine and afternoon storms is likely to carry until Wednesday before a new area of high pressure builds in and dries us out a little bit before the holiday.
The tropics remain quiet this week with no development expected for the next several days.
