A North Miami Beach mother was shot to death overnight after two robbers held her family hostage in the bathroom at gunpoint before killing her, her husband said.
Clauvens Cenor said the victim is his 28-year-old wife, Guerline Noel. She was fatally shot in the bathroom at 250 NE 175th Terrace, police said.
Four family members, including the couple’s 3-year-old son and Noel’s sister, were forced by the suspects into their bathroom, Cenor said. He escaped through a window, but when he returned he found his wife.
"I saw my wife laying down on the floor inside the bathroom," he said.
Police said they were called about the incident at 12:41 a.m. They said the two armed men did not force their way inside the home.
Cenor said his wife was sitting inside a car studying when the men approached her. They walked inside with her and asked for “everything,” then forced the family into the bathroom. The robbers took their cell phones, Cenor said.
The suspects are still at large. Police are investigating.
