Heavy rain showers were expected throughout Wednesday in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, which have been clogging traffic and causing flooding in many areas.
"It's horrible, especially the car hydroplanes a lot. It's really bad out, not Miami weather at all," said Natalie Rodriguez, who was in Doral Wednesday morning.
Several urban flood advisories were issued Wednesday morning and more showers and storms are anticipated throughout the afternoon hours. The latest advisory runs until 3 p.m. for northeastern Broward.

In Miami Beach, there was standing water on many roads and traffic was backed up with cars driving with their hazard lights on.
"It's ridiculous," said Simo Chir who says his bathroom wall outled sparked as rainwater dripped into his Collins Avenue apartment Wednesday morning.

"I don't know what to tell you," said Ariel Tejada in Spanish, a gardener waiting for flood levels to drop so he could wait. "Too much water," he said.
Other flooded areas included Margate, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, Miami Shores and along NW 7th Street between 57th to 72nd Avenues in Miami. There was also standing water along roads in Aventura, Hallandale and Hollywood, the National Weather Service said.
Deputies closed Prospect Road from Andrews Avenue to Dixie Highway, Commercial Boulevard from Northeast 38th Street to Northeast 6th Avenue, and Northeast 38th Street from Dixie Highway to Andrews Avenue.
The heaviest rains were falling in metro areas of South Florida and the storms were going to gradually move inland throughout the day.

Breezy conditions will also be in place Wednesday afternoon, setting the stage for another high-risk rip current day on South Florida beaches.
Expect isolated showers Wednesday night with temperatures around 76. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs around 87.
There should be more sunshine Friday with isolated thunderstorms and highs around 90.
