Authorities are looking for a pair of police impersonators who ripped off a taxi driver and Swedish tourists in Miami.
The robbery happened Tuesday at about 5:15 p.m. as the cabbie was driving the tourists in the area of Northwest 37th Avenue and 14th Street, Miami Police said.
As the taxi was stopped behind a silver Toyota Corolla at a light, he honked his horn at the car to get the Toyota to make a right turn. That's when two men inside the Toyota got out and approached the taxi.

"These two criminals identify themselves as police officers, make the taxi driver and the Swedish tourists get out of the vehicle," said Miami Police spokesman Sgt. Freddie Cruz.
One of the suspects began hitting the driver's side window and screaming obscenities, according to a Miami Police incident report. The second suspect was standing on the passenger side and holding what looked like a badge, the report said.
The fake cops ordered the cabbie and tourists out of the taxi, saying they were searching them for drugs, police said. The suspects patted them down and searched their luggage before ordering them back into the taxi and fleeing the scene with their belongings. They took jewelry, wallet and a camera, Cruz said.
Ten minutes before the robbery, the same suspects had tried the same thing on a woman at the Orion Gas Station at 1055 Northwest 27th Ave., police said. They had been unsuccessful.
