A man and a woman were arrested for breaking into a Daytona high school to have sex before the man vandalized three vending machines, authorities said.
Vincent Ewell, 18, and Lindsay Longbottom, 19, broke into Mainland High School early Wednesday morning to have sex, according to a Daytona Beach arrest report.
Police, who were alerted to the break-in when the school's alarm went off, found Ewell and Longbottom trying to drive away, the report said.
Ewell told police they needed to find a place to have sex so Longbottom's boyfriend wouldn't find out. He also said he broke the vending machines with a pocket knife because he had the "beer munchies," police said.
Ewell is facing charges of burglary and criminal mischief damaging $1,000 or more of property. Longbottom is facing burglary charges, police said. It wasn't immediately known if they had attorneys.
