One is dead and three others were hospitalized after a chase suspect crashed into a police cruiser in Davie, officials said.
A Davie Police officer was attempting to stop a car traveling northbound on Davie Road near the 4700 block, but it failed to stop, according to Davie officials.
A second Davie officer was heading southbound on Davie Road to assist when the car being pursued crashed into the second officer in between the 4800 and 4900 blocks, officials said.
The Davie officer involved in the crash is in stabled condition, but the driver of the other car died on the scene, according to Davie Police.
A female passenger and male passenger from the car that was being pursued are in critical condition, officials said.
All three are being treated at Memorial Regional Hospital, police said.
Officials did not immediately say why they were trying to stop the car.
