A deputy-involved crash and a car fire snarled traffic in both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-95 in South Florida Monday morning.
The Broward Sheriff's deputy was on his way to work in his unmarked car when he was involved in a rollover wreck in the northbound lanes of I-95 north of Hallandale Beach Boulevard shortly before 7 a.m., fire officials said.
The deputy was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where his condition was unknown.
Moments earlier, a car had caught fire in the southbound lanes of I-95 near the 112 Airport Expressway.
No one was injured but the fire led to heavy delays in the southbound side of the highway.
The cause of both crashes were unknown.
