Miami Gardens Police said they’re investigating a random shooting of a male victim on a bus stop bench Thursday night.
The victim was sitting on a bench at the corner of NW 2nd Avenue and NW 203rd Terrace just after 8 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim and shot him at least once on the shoulder, Sgt. Bill Bamford said.
Police do not believe there was a relationship or dispute between the suspect and victim, Bamford said.
The victim was taken by air to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is in good condition and is expected to survive, Bamford said.
He said police have identified the shooter and are actively looking for him. They have not released any details about the suspect’s identity publicly, however.
