Four teenagers were injured in a Margate boating accident, officials said.
A 14-foot aluminum boat containing two female and two male teenagers collided with a pillar near the marina at 101 Rock Island Road Saturday afternoon, Margate Fire Chief Dan Booker said.
"They were bleeding a lot," said witness Ronnie Racinos.
Two of the teens, a male and a female, were taken to Broward Health on trauma alert, but officials said that as of Saturday afternoon, the injuries were not life-threatening. The two others were taken to Northwest Hospital for minor injuries.
Booker said the teens were not wearing life vests.
Officials have not yet released additional details of the investigation, but said the driver was most likely going too fast.
