An 18-year-old is being held on first-degree murder charges for the death of a South Miami-Dade security guard, reported The Miami Herald.

Quintin Vicks is accused of shooting and killing 48-year-old Robert Nelson, a security guard for 50 State Security who was making his rounds at a South Miami-Dade apartment complex Saturday night, the Herald reported.

Officials say they are looking for three others who were with Vicks, firing shots at Nelson and stripping him of his possessions, the newspaper said.

Vicks, who was already off on probation, also faces drug possession charges and is being held without bond after an appearance in court Monday.

“Robert Nelson was a valued and trusted member of the 50 State Security team, and we are all heartbroken with this tragedy," the firm's president, John Williams, said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert’s family and friends. The authorities have asked that all questions related to the specifics of this horrible event be directed to them, and we are fully cooperating with their investigation.”
