The family of a Homestead girl who was fatally shot on a school bus by a 15-year-old boy think others should be charged in the case as well, their attorney said Friday.

Jordyn Howe, 15, is accused of manslaughter with a deadly weapon for the November shooting death of 13-year-old Lourdes Guzman-DeJesus on a Homestead School bus.

In a document obtained by NBC 6, several eyewitnesses detail how the accidental shooting happened. Now, the victim's family believes others should also be charged in this case.

"We're looking for the state to continue the prosecution of every aspect to the case not only as it relates to Jordyn Howe but any other potential defendants that may not have been charged to date," said family attorney Ron Book.

Lourdes Guzman, the girl’s mother, said that : “Whoever was involved needs to pay, they need to pay. "

"Is about my daughter and I have to know everything that's going on when it had to do with her," she said.

Howe was in court Friday. He has been charged as an adult and was in jail until he bonded out. A judge is letting him go to school and church until he goes on trial.
