Jeff Fogel doesn't have to get up every day and come to work, but he does so anyways.
"Every day that I wake up, and I know that I'm coaching kids that day, or interacting with kids, i love to wake up and come to work," he said.
It's passion and dedication that sets Coach Fogel apart from the rest. He's been a fixture at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC in North Miami Beach for over 20 years, and being diagnosed with ALS, or lou Gehrig's disease, two years ago has not slowed him down.
These days, Fogel is out on the court with his hands behind his back, a basketball coach who has lost nearly all mobility in his arms.
He can't shoot, or dribble, but remarkably he is still able to teach.
"it affects my arms right now, but I can walk. I can speak.To get my point across, I'll use my eyes ... Use my feet," he says. "it's a challenge and i'm up for challenges."
