Surfside Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down at least two men captured on surveillance video robbing a high-end store last Friday night.
Thanks to surveillance cameras trained at the back door and rear entry of the Monaco Collection boutique, police have a clear shot of two men wearing baseball caps, and with partially covered faces trolling in through a back door and making out with purses, watches and other expensive accessories. The rear-entry camera shows one of the men charging out with a box full of accessories worth thousands of dollars, according to Surfside detectives.
The back-door camera shows a late-model Range Rover SUV pull up, and then a masked man comes out, climbs up the wall, and pushes the camera away but shows a clear shot of the Range Rover.
The owner of Monaco Collection refused to speak on camera; but Det. Marian Valeno told NBC 6 that the department is actively investigating.
"We're looking for the public's help in identifying who the subjects are on the camera, and I hope to be able to return this property to the business owners."
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
