A professional tennis player from Canada is facing several charges after he tried to have sex with a 13-year-old, Florida authorities said.
Pierre-Ludovic Duclos-Lasnier, 27, was arrested late Thursday on charges of attempted lewd and lascivious battery, using a computer to solicit a child to commit sex acts, traveling to solicit a child to commit sex acts, and two counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's office.

Authorities say Duclos-Lasnier, who is from Quebec but has an address in Bradenton, had chatted with a detective who was using the girl's cell phone.
Duclos-Lasnier solicited the girl to have sex and sent her a photo of his penis, authorities said. He agreed to pick her up but when he arrived at the location, he was arrested, authorities said.

Jail records showed Duclos-Lasnier was still behind bars Friday, and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.
According to ATPWorldTour.com, Duclos-Lasnier is currently ranked 610th in tennis singles. His highest ranking since turning pro in 2007 is 229th.
