A two-vehicle accident left a male driver dead Saturday after that vehicle hit a tree on Sunset Drive near Southwest 140th Avenue, police said.
A blue Jetta was traveling at a high speed westbound on Sunset Drive when it hit a black vehicle also going westbound, causing the second vehicle to spin out of control and crash into the tree, Miami-Dade Police spokesman Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said.
Driver Was Trapped for 1 Hour After Palmetto Crash
The female driver of the Jetta may have hit a white or gray minivan in the area of Southwest 147th Avenue and Southwest 72nd Street before the accident, Zabaleta said.
Two Killed, Six Injured in Margate Crash
Zabaleta urged the owner of the minivan and anyone with information on the case to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
