A South Florida man is facing assault and battery charges after he chest-bumped and threatened to kill an elderly man, according to a police report released Monday.
Erik E. Cass, 30, was arrested Thursday following the encounter with 73-year-old Richard March in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, according to the report from the Broward Sheriff's Office.
According to the report, Cass screamed vulgarities at Marsh and threatened to kill him before grabbing for his arm to keep him from fleeing.
At one point, Cass chest-bumped Marsh, causing the elderly man to lose his footing and almost fall.
Cass was being held on $25,000 bond Monday, records showed. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
