Divers were searching a Broward canal after a car drove into the water Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The car drove into the canal in the area of N. University Drive near Southgate Boulevard on the border of Coral Springs and Tamarac, Coral Springs Fire Rescue officials said.
Rescue workers with both agencies responded and at least one person who was in the car, the driver, was able to get out, officials said.
The driver was shaken up, officials said.
Officials said they didn't know if anyone else was inside the car and said divers were checking the water.
It's unknown how the car ended up in the canal and no other details were immediately known.
