Two of three suspects from Collier County were in custody after a chase with authorities that ended in Miami Gardens on Tuesday.

The neighborhood near Sun Life Stadium where the pursuit came to a close was nice and quiet Tuesday night – far from the commotion the afternoon brought.

Three suspects in a rented sport utility vehicle led police on a wild chase which ended in Chris Brown's front yard.

"Yeah, it was scary," Brown said. "I mean wow, you come out the door and you see a bunch of police out here, I mean with dogs and all, you don't know what's going on."

The chase started on Alligator Alley at about 3:30 p.m.

A Collier County Sheriff's Office said one of its deputies pulled the driver over, suspecting the tinted windows of the grey Toyota SUV were too dark. But as the deputy was talking to the driver, one of the passengers jumped into the driver's seat and sped away with the other occupants of the SUV, according to the sheriff's office.

The Florida Highway Patrol said it assisted in the chase from Alligator Alley to U.S. 27.

The suspects headed into Broward County. They sped through city streets and narrowly missed other vehicles, aerial footage showed. At one point the vehicle crossed the yellow line, driving on the wrong side of the road.

The three men bailed out of their car at 196th Street and 32nd Avenue and started searching for a hiding place, the footage showed. After jumping some fences and scurrying through some  backyards, police caught up with two suspects.

The driver who was left in Collier County will not face charges.

They went into Brown's house looking for more.

"They came through my house with the dogs," Brown said. "They walked in, went into the backyard ... they went next door and knocked on everybody's door, they stayed here for about an hour," he added.

Police spent hours Tuesday night looking for the third suspect.

The sheriff's office said it is planning to charge the three who took off with fleeing and eluding.
