Workers were trying to repair a water main break in North Miami Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The break happened as utility work was being done in the area of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 24th Avenue, city spokeswoman Pam Solomon said.
It's unknown what exactly caused the 8-inch break in the water main, but everyone in the area still has water and the break isn't affecting traffic or residents, Solomon said.
The break is expected to be fixed by Wednesday evening, Solomon said.
