A funeral service will be held Friday to remember the father and son who were killed in a small plane crash in Fort Lauderdale last week.
The funeral for Wally and Kevin Watson was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale.
On Thursday the National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report that showed the engines were apparently generating a low to mid-range amount of power as the plane took off, reported the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

According to the report, the plane might have not even had enough power to safely take off. The NTSB continues to investigate whether it wasbecause the throttles were placed at a lower setting or due to the engines malfunctioning, the report said.
“That’s what we need to figure out,” Keith Holloway, NTSB spokesman, was quoted by the newspaper as saying. “We are at a point where we are analyzing this information.”

The plane crashed into an impound lot in Fort Lauderdale and quickly burst into flames. The pilot, Steven Waller, and both Watsons died.
