An orphan baby manatee that was rescued last month continues his recovery at the David A. Straz Jr. Manatee Hospital at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.
The manatee is in critical condition, and is suffering from cold stress. He is being housed in a heater shallow water pool to help treat his condition, the zoo said Tuesday.

The calf, estimated to be about a month old, was rescued from Bayboro Harbor near St. Petersburg.
X-rays have recently revealed that the manatee has pneumonia, but he is feeding well and will continue to receive a course of injectable antibiotics, the zoo said.
The cold stress lesions on his skin are beginning to heal.
