Police are investigating after 16 laptops were stolen from an elementary school in Fort Lauderdale.
The burglary occurred at North Side Elementary School sometime between Monday at 3 p.m. and Tuesday at 7 a.m., Fort Lauderdale Police said.

It is believed that the person responsible for the burglary entered the school through a classroom window. A media cart with the computers was then taken to a nearby fence, where the laptops were unloaded, according to police.

The burglary was discovered Tuesday morning when the school principal arrived to the school. Fort Lauderdale Police said they are working with the school to obtain surveillance video.
