A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a motor scooter as he walked to his school bus in West Park Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. in the area of Southwest 56th Avenue and Southwest 25th Street, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The teen was taken to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening, the BSO said.
The driver of the scooter had minor injuries and will likely be cited with passing a stopped school bus, the BSO said.
