A disgruntled ex-boyfriend is facing charges after police say he was caught on video setting his old flame's new boyfriend's car on fire in North Miami Beach.

Jeffrey Blanc, 32, is facing three counts of arson and two counts of criminal mischief in a series of incidents that happened between March and June, North Miami Police said.

According to police, Blanc and 28-year-old Kristal Brantly dated for about two years but broke up in 2012 when Blanc became controlling and started following her around.

Between 2012 and 2013, Blanc sent Brantly numerous text messages and called her several times trying to rekindle their relationship, but none were answered, police said.

That's when Blanc began targeting Brantly's new boyfriend, Antoine Dolce, vandalizing his property at his home in the 15600 block of Northeast 10th Court, police said.

On March 29, March 31 and April 22, Blanc drove to Dolce's place and spray painted his home, sidewalk and both Dolce's and Brantly's cars, police said. On April 30th, he doused Dolce's car with gasoline and set it on fire, causing minor damage, police said.

Blanc returned to the house again on June 23 and set Dolce's car on fire again, police said. This time the fire spread to Dolce's home. The incident was captured on surveillance video and shows Blanc setting the fire, police said.

When Brantly reviewed the video, she identified Blanc as the suspect, police said. Blanc was questioned by detectives and confessed to the crimes, police said. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
