Baseball fans can get into Tuesday's World Baseball Classic games at Marlins Park for just five dollars with a Spring Training ticket.
On Tuesday, the United States, Dominican Republic, Italy, and Puerto Rico will face off in second round action. The winner and runner-up from this pool will advance to the championship round beginning Sunday. The Netherlands has already booked a berth in the championship round from the other second round pool.
Fans with either a used ticket for a 2013 Grapefruit League game or a ticket for a future game can purchase a $5 ticket in the Bullpen Reserved or Baseline Reserved sections for either of Tuesday's games (Italy plays the Dominican Republic at 1:00pm ET; Team USA and Puerto Rico play at 8:00pm ET), while supplies last.
Fans must present their ticket from any Spring Training game at the Marlins Park Ticket Office to take advantage of the offer. This offer is valid for fans who have used the ticket or who possess a ticket for a future 2013 Grapefruit League game.
Fans with tickets to either game can attend full-team workouts on Monday free of charge. Game tickets (for any game) must be presented for entry to the workouts.
A number of current and former Marlins are representing their countries in the World Baseball Classic. Outfielder Giancarlo Stanton and closer Steve Cishek are on Team USA, while the Dominican team features former Marlins Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez.
The World Baseball Classic, which is officially sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), will for the first time in 2013 be recognized as the official national team World Championship, with the winner being crowned the 2013 World Baseball Classic Champion and the IBAF World Champion. The World Baseball Classic is being televised by 39 international broadcasters in 14 languages in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
